We have a small group of youth who are waiting for the right person(s) to help them grow in their faith. The ideal candidate will have experience and/or pending degree in children's ministry, youth ministry or Christian education. Your background in music ministry is a plus.

Overview

As a part-time intern, your workload is about 4 hours per week (including prep time). Actual class time is 1 hour per week (12 noon to 1pm)

Responsibilities

• Planning and preparing activities for foundational Bible teaching and personal devotions during Sunday school class time
• Encouraging and contacting members, prospects, and families regularly to discuss needs and lesson plans. Building positive relationships with youth and their families.
• Taking the lead in planning, administering and evaluating the total work of the youth Sunday school. Proposing space, budget, curriculum and other resources. Enlisting volunteers as necessary.
• Leading youth toward faith in Jesus Christ and guiding them to serve Him through worship, evangelism, fellowship, discipleship, and ministry.
• Being a positive role model by living as an authentic witness of Christ.

Friendship Agape Church (FAC) is a congregation of the Christian Reformed Church denomination. FAC serves the local community with English and Mandarin Chinese programs for individuals and families. Our church is located in San Jose (Cambrian Park area, near Highways 85 and 87).
